Wuhan, China is the capital of the Hubei province, a city of 11 million people and the 9th most populous city in China. In general, China has roughly 4 times the population of the US on about the same land mass: generally, the area is a thriving and bustling industrial center.
But as the drone video below shows, the coronavirus is taking a significant toll on the area. Wuhan is thought to be the epicenter of the virus in China, and as a result has taken emergency measures to try and stop the virus’ spread. The city of 11 million appears eerily deserted as a result of the lockdown.
Drone footage shows nearly empty road and waterways in typically busting Wuhan, China, amid a citywide lockdown over the deadly #coronavirus outbreak.
