Septentrio, a specialist in high-precision GNSS positioning solutions, is enhancing its collaboration with top drone technology firms like 3DR, Holybro, ARK Electronics, and Systork. These partnerships are fostering the development of new products facilitating the incorporation of the mosaic GNSS receiver into UAVs.

The mosaic is a compact, triple-frequency receiver that utilizes signals from all available GNSS constellations, ensuring optimal positioning availability in difficult conditions. It features built-in anti-jamming and anti-spoofing technologies to safeguard against both intentional and accidental interference. This robust positioning capability is vital in safety-critical applications, such as drone shows and delivery drones, as well as in UAV operations near large structures or in RF-interference prone environments.

In collaboration with hardware integrators and the open-source autopilot communities, such as PX4 and Ardupilot, Septentrio aims to streamline the integration process for users. “We are pleased to see the success of our current partnerships and are open to working with other integrators who are interested in making UAV-specific products with a competitive edge of superior reliability and resilience. We are also grateful for the excellent support of the community with their recent updates to PX4 and Ardupilot, which include mosaic features which are essential for UAVs,” said Gustavo Lopez, Market Portfolio Manager at Septentrio.

Newly available products offering reliable high-accuracy positioning for UAVs include Holybro H-RTK mosaic-H (dual antenna heading), 3DR mosaic-X5 CAN GPS, Systork Linnet mosaic-X5, and ARK mosaic-x5 GPS. These products are designed with UAV-centric features like magnetometers, barometers, and UAVCAN communication. They support dual antenna operations with the mosaic-H for accurate heading and orientation and include the advanced anti-interference technology AIM+, which mitigates both external jamming/spoofing and internal electronic interference.

Septentrio invites GNSS enthusiasts to Booth #4706 at AUVSI Xponential in San Diego from April 22-25 to explore further collaboration opportunities.
