A drone is targeting homeless people in Manchester, advocates said. According to homeless advocate Dam Wright, an unidentified drone operator has been aiming eggs, popsicles and feces at homeless people in Manchester.Wright said these attacks have been happening for months. “We would keep seeing other items dropped from the sky, and it’s become a regular thing, especially in areas where homeless people tend to congregate,” said Wright. On Wednesday, Manchester police witnessed a drone approaching a group of homeless people. Despite no reports of the items actually hitting anyone, Wright said the drone is specifically harassing homeless people. “This is somebody who is deliberately targeting people with high technology, and sooner or later, they’re going to drop something heavy, and it’s going to hurt somebody,” said Wright. Wright also said the unidentified person behind the attacks is just plain evil. “The people out on the streets really have it bad enough as it is without being under constant attack, let alone high-tech attack. Whoever has the time, energy and resources to do something like this is really a sick individual,” said Wright. One member of the homeless community said these attacks are just upsetting. “It’s certainly disheartening. A lot of people are just trying to stay alive, let alone deal with extra things,” said Revan Bellino.Manchester police have opened an investigation to determine who is responsible for these drone attacks.
