Dedrone has partnered with Securityhunter to offer a counter-small unmanned aircraft system technology via a General Services Administration contract vehicle that encompasses security, firefighting and law enforcement offerings for the public sector.

Securityhunter will provide government customers access to the counter-sUAS platform through its position on GSA Schedule 84, Dedrone said Tuesday.

The offering, which consists of hardware and software, is designed to help operators identify, classify and address drone threats.

“Small drones are an active and escalating threat to the safety and operations of U.S government missions, including military installations, critical infrastructure, correctional facilities and deployed assets,” said Phil Pitsky, vice president of federal operations at Dedrone.

Pitsky added the partnership offers agencies an opportunity to avoid disruption and increase resilience of the country’s sensitive airspace.

In October, Dedrone acquired an anti-drone platform from Battelle and formed a consulting business to market drone detection and mitigation services to the defense sector.
