Yuneec Announces Black Friday Promotions

Another day, another drone industry manufacturer is announcing promotions ahead of Black Friday. This time it’s Yuneec, the Chinese manufacturer most famous for the Typhoon range of photography drones.

So what’s the deal? We’ve already seen what DJI and Parrot have to offer in a bid to pick up drone sales ahead of the festive season.

Yuneec’s Black Friday Promotions

Yuneec’s promotional offers will run from Thursday November 22nd to December 1. They are available on the company’s official website, at Best Buy and with other tech retailers. The drones on offer are:

Typhoon H (Originally: $899 – Now: $599)

Typhoon H

The original Typhoon H was Yuneec’s flagship drone back in 2016. And at the time of its release one of the most advanced aerial photography and videography platforms around. During the Black Friday sale it’ll be available for $599. That’s not bad at all for a system that went toe to toe with the DJI Phantom 4.

Typhoon 4K (Originally: $599 – Now: $399)

The Yuneec Typhoon 4K is also available with a substantial discount.

The middle-range drone represents decent value. Not only does it have a 4K camera, but it also comes with an android touchscreen controller, which means you can take off in a matter of seconds and not have to worry about connecting your own mobile device.

The Typhoon 4K also captures 1080p/120fps slow motion video and has a full complement of manual camera settings for extra creative control.

Typhoon H with Intel RealSense Technology (Originally: $1499 – Now: $1199)

You’ll probably remember this drone from a dramatic demonstration at CES 2016, in which the company presented the world’s first drone capable of dodging moving obstacles.

Thanks to Intel’s RealSense technology, this version of the Typhoon H builds a 3D model of the world in order to navigate through it. It’s now available for $1199.

We haven’t been passed any information regarding sales of Yuneec’s more recent consumer drones, the Breeze 4K and the Mantis Q. So it’s safe to assume that these won’t be dropping in price.

Regardless, just like Parrot and DJI, Yuneec has put together some competitive offers for drone pilots considering making a new purchase over the festive season. Look out for our Black Friday roundup later this week.
