Dear Dronists,

We are very excited to announce the winners of the 4th annual
International Drone Photography Contest. Thank you all for participating! We are very proud of our community!

Pride, that’s what we felt when we met National Geographic for the jury and reviewed the thousand of pictures submitted for this 4th edition in a row. We were stunned by the great quality of the pictures submitted this year. What is most frustrating is that we would have liked reward more than three photos in each category. We have decided to create this year a special category, named “Creativity” to reward the amazing creativity of our talented community.

The competition was judged on creativity, photographic quality and in respect of the three categories by a panel of experts including Deputy Director of Photography at National Geographic Patrick Witty, Photo Editor Jeff Heimsathas well as Emanuela Ascoli, Photo Editor of National Geographic France and Dronestagram.
The winning pictures will be published in National Geographic.

“I was blown away by the creativity of the photos in this contest. The photographers used drones to capture the world from new and unique perspectives. The selection process was far from easy, this contest has certainly surfaced the best drone images from around the world” declared Photo Editor at National Geographic Traveler Jeff Heimsath.

We would like to extend a special thanks to our contest sponsors National Geographic, Europ Assistance, Kodak Pixpro, StudioSPORT, Lowepro,Zeinberg & Homido for generously offering amazing prizes!
