Leonardo consortium to protect Rome park with 5G, satellites…


Italian technology group Leonardo has teamed up with Rome city council to install an experimental monitoring system combining satellite, drone, artificial intelligence and 5G technology in one of the capital’s largest green spaces. The SES5G system, part of Rome’s smart city project, aims to use innovative technologies to protect the 1,000-hectare Castel Fusano pine forest between Rome and the coast from fire and public order damage.
