DroneDeploy Expands Down Under to Meet Increasing Global Dem…

CA-based drone mapping platform DroneDeploy expands this month, opening a new office in Australia and hiring a new Chief Financial Officer.  “Both steps will help ​DroneDeploy​, the leading enterprise-grade drone software solution, serve a diverse and increasing group of customers and industries benefiting from drone software around the world,” says a company press release.  The company also announced its Summer Product Release.

“M.G. Thibaut, previously the CFO of the CRM platform Copper, joined DroneDeploy as Chief Financial Officer. Thibaut will be based in San Francisco and be responsible for guiding all finance and planning,” says the company.

“We’re delighted to bring M.G. aboard and to leverage her expertise as we look to best scale and serve a range of industries and enterprises,” says Mike Winn, CEO and Co-Founder, DroneDeploy. “M.G.’s expertise and experience will play a vital role in helping us deliver the most powerful​ data-driven insights​ for our valued and growing customer base.”

Thibaut is a top CFO in Silicon Valley, with over 20 years of experience leading finance teams and guiding startups. In addition to Copper, Thibaut has held leadership roles at Ruby Ribbon, Strava, and Yahoo!. She earned her undergraduate degree from Stanford and has an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business.

DroneDeploy has been a leader in the drone industry since 2013.  The startup has been consistently customer focused, growing quickly and steadily and expanding product functionality to meet customer needs.  Now, DroneDeploy expands to meet the needs of customers around the world – including Australia.

Adam Savage, previously with NewVoiceMedia and CloudSense, has been named GM of of the Sydney, Australia office.  “DroneDeploy plans to rapidly expand its team in Sydney and across the region in the coming year, and already serves leading Australia companies including Hansen Yuncken and Republic Cement,” says the company.
