Want a Sneaky Preview of DJI’s Drone Arena?

Today DJI opened the doors of its first drone arena, which has been set up in South Korea to offer a place for enthusiasts to fly and discover more about the industry.

Although we were told recently by DJI that there are currently no plans in place to expand the franchise and set up venues in other countries, we thought you might like to have a look inside the newly opened arena – just in case the company decides to set up similar venues near you in the future.

“The DJI Arena will help foster the local drone culture and play an important role in building a healthy UAV ecosystem in Korea,” said DJI Korea Country Manager Moon Tae-hyun. “

He continued, “The opening of the DJI Arena is our commitment to the development of the local UAV market. There is huge potential in how UAV technologies can change the way people see the world and create a positive impact in people’s lives. Our goal is to make aerial technology more accessible, reliable and easier to use for anyone who wants to use it.”

DJI has also announced more details about what kind of things visitors will be able to do inside the drone arena. Among the programs on offer are Individual & Group Bookings, Corporate Event Rental, a ‘Flying Academy’ for kids between 8 and 16,  Private one to one training sessions, and School Tours. All educational sessions will include free use of DJI’s Phantom 4 drone.

It’s clear that DJI is attempting to make its drone arena as accessible as possible, with educational programs that allow pilots to learn from scratch and encouragement for youngsters keen to grow skills in an industry with a big future.

Below are some images of DJI’s arena in Korea, which we hope will be the first of many.
