Use drones extensively in agriculture sector

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan  Mohan Reddy has directed the officials to use drones extensively in the agriculture sector . They want to get multiple benefits in the agriculture sector through drone technology. To this extent, a review was conducted on the agriculture and horticulture departments at the Tadepalli camp office on Friday. The officials briefed  Jagan Reddy about the progress of the programs being carried out in the agriculture allied departments along with the Kharif preparation. Officials said that geo-fencing feature has also been newly introduced in e-cropping. It is mentioned that e-cropping of Kharif crops has started and this time it has been started early. 

CM Jagan said that programs like pesticide use are already being done through drone . Apart from this, he said that soil tests should be done by drones. Thus, he said that he should rise to the level of conducting soil tests at the RBK level. He said that if there is a situation where soil tests can be done regularly through drones, it will be possible to effectively implement the plant doctor concept.

Jagan Reddy has given instructions to the officials to promote the vargas suitable for pud processing in horticultural crops apart from the regular market. CM directed the officials to encourage self-employment of women by using a scheme like Shayutha.
