Skydio and Aloft Introduce Data Integration for Enterprise Customers

by DRONELIFE Staff Writer Ian M. Crosby

Today, Aloft Technologies, alongside autonomous flight leader Skydio, announced a newly available integration between Aloft Air Control for Enterprise and Skydio Cloud. This new integration provides customers with a united, reliable data stream of flight logs, telemetry, asset tracking, reporting and more. Long requested by customers, this new capability joins Skydio’s dependable autonomous aircraft with Aloft’s preflight and post-flight compliance solutions.

In the process of bringing this combined solution to fruition, Skydio and Aloft’s shared customer base became readily apparent, especially within the utilities industry. This particular sector requires a high degree of security within its workflows as a result of the importance of its  services to the millions of customers and businesses within the communities they serve.

“We’ve seen tremendous demand for a Skydio and Aloft integration from our customers, especially those in the utility industry,” said Mike Ross, Skydio’s Senior Director of Product Management. “We’re excited to be working with Aloft to offer a robust integration that makes fleet management of Skydio drones within Aloft simple and easy.”

Many early adopters are eager to leverage this new integration, including those customers within the utilities industry whose work necessitates a high degree of safety and security.

“Power lines are critical infrastructure so inspection with drones has to be done with safety and security at the core of every mission we fly,” said Mike Spengler, UAS Program Manager, Idaho Power Company. “The combined autonomy and security of Skydio drones with the security and compliance features that Aloft brings will help our drone program become even more secure and reinforce our safety posture.”
