LinkedIn exec, tech CEOs offer jobseeker tips at Virtual Job…

Alexandra Borok, Talent Account Director at LinkedIn, Wendy Singer, Executive Director of Start-Up Nation Central, and Helen Gottstein, an expert in executive communications strategy, will join CEOs of successful startups to advise and interview hundreds of high-tech jobseekers at the first OurCrowd Virtual Job Fair on Monday, Jan. 17, at 5-7pm Israel time.

Jobseekers wishing to attend can register HERE. Attendees can upload their CV/résumé and book 1:1 interviews with the companies.

The two-hour virtual event will feature CEOs from OurCrowd portfolio companies Clinch, Tailor Brands, Bizzabo, Tetavi, Morphisec, Intuition Robotics, Insightec, Taranis and Thetaray, who will conduct one-on-one interviews with potential candidates.

“We are growing fast and we’re hiring more people,” said Bar Veinstein, CEO of Taranis, which uses military-grade optics, artificial intelligence and data to help agricultural crop growers. “We are looking for people that love technology, whether it’s cloud, drone, satellite, data, and really making the world a better place. If you have that buzz, or that bug, of ‘I want to do something that really makes a difference,’ Taranis is a place for you.”

The event is hosted by Jerusalem-based OurCrowd, rated Israel’s most active venture investor, together with partners Start-Up Nation Central, Scale-Up Velocity, Tel Aviv Internationals, Gvahim and Nefesh B’Nefesh.

OurCrowd’s most recent quarterly High-Tech Jobs Index identified a growing shortage of software engineers and other skilled high-tech workers for Israel’s fast-growing high-tech sector which now numbers more than 9,000 startups.

“We are a leading dynamic creative personalization platform in the ad-tech industry providing valuable services to many Fortune 500 companies,” said Raz Peter, CTO & Co-founder of Clinch, which personalizes digital ads to make them more effective. “If you’re looking for a really challenging and satisfying job working with such a great team, we would love to meet you.”

OurCrowd’s website hosts a Jobs page which currently carries more than 4,300 vacancies from 177 OurCrowd portfolio companies in Israel and worldwide in a wide range of positions including branding lead, head engineer, and senior product manager.

The Job Fair was created by Laly David, OurCrowd Partner and Head of Business Development, who helps companies that OurCrowd has invested in with business partnerships and other growth strategies.

“We are continuously looking for the most relevant ways to add value to our portfolio companies and support their path to growth,” David said. “We are excited to be holding the first OurCrowd Virtual Job Fair to benefit our portfolio companies and help connect jobseekers with a multitude of career options in the most exciting startups in the ecosystem.”

OurCrowd, which has doubled its headcount to more than 300 in the past two years, is also hiring, with vacancies in a wide range of key departments.

“We are busy helping to grow and support the leading entrepreneurial companies both in Israel and the world that are meeting global challenges,” said CEO and Founder Jon Medved. “When you work at OurCrowd, or at one of our portfolio companies, you are the in the middle of all that is going on in today’s fast-paced tech world.”
