LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Leitchfield man is behind bars following a domestic incident in Grayson County.

Henry Harris, 40, is facing wanton endangerment, fleeing and evading police, criminal mischief, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of an EPO.

Arrest records state Grayson County deputies responded to Armes-Lively Road after midnight Saturday after reports of a man violating an emergency protective order.

Harris’ mother told deputies she obtained the EPO because of threats made by him, bogus charges on her debit card and past assault incidents.

The mom told deputies she called them because Harris had shown up on her property, went through her barn and was banging on her door to get in.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they believed Harris was probably still on the property.

Since it was dark, GCSO decided to call for the county drone to be deployed.

A short time later and using infrared technology with the drone, Harris was discovered lying in a ditch about 100 yards from the home.

GSCO said a foot pursuit ensued through barbed wired fence and rough terrain.

Harris was eventually arrested.

He was taken to an area hospital from injuries suffered by the barbed wired fence.

“The drone that the County received is a valuable tool for our law enforcement. In this case, we were able to prevent a potentially violent domestic by apprehending the perpetrator before he hurt someone. This was a perfect situation to use the drone. It not just kept our Deputies safe, but our K-9 as well as we did not have to deploy Zeus to locate the suspect,” Sheriff Norman Chaffins said in a statement.

Harris is currently being held at the Grayson County Detention Center.
