Pixy S is tailor-made for the Sony A7RIV – a full-frame camera with 61 megapixels that gives top image quality for mapping and inspection. The Pixy S fits and secures the camera body with an advanced “slide and lock” mechanism, offering a simplified set-up without complicated balancing.  (Pixy S must balance for the first time, and adjust for each lens change.)

Lightweight, and Powerful

Pixy S offers a unique combination of Gremsy T3V3 powerful motor and the compact design of Pixy U. The Pixy S tilt cage module optimizes size and weight with full built-in functionality, weighing less than 550 g (about 1.2 pounds) when setup withSony α7R IV & SEL55F18Z.  The lighter weight Pixy S provides a 25% increase in flight time compared with Gremsy T3V3, and has been upgraded with a new Hotshoe signal connector, supported via the AUX port, to allow precise geotagging.

The IMU sensor (Inertial Measurement Unit) has been upgraded: new position of the tilt cage module enhances angle accuracy. The new design can be attached and detached easily in 2 steps: Sliding the L-cage & locking the clamp.

Pixy S is designed to be user-friendly, and is compatible with multiple drone platforms using Pixhawk/CubePilot/Skynode, opening up a wide variety of drone options for commercial applications.  Open SDK is enabled on Pixy S with Sony SDK & gSDK samples, which allows embedded system development for many applications.
