Everdrone Medical Drone Delivery – DRONELIFE

Everdrone Begins Collaboration with Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex

by DRONELIFE Staff Writer Ian M. Crosby

Drone solutions provider Everdrone and Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) have announced a collaboration to begin implementing Everdrone First on Scene Grid™ technology in the UK. The goal of the collaboration is to allow KSS to broaden the scope of its rapid response service with the addition of drone delivery of time-sensitive essential medical supplies, advancing pre-hospital emergency healthcare across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

Drones offer the ability to greatly improve the efficiency of emergency response services through the delivery of time-critical medical supplies such as Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) faster than ground units, or in support of helicopter operations, all while granting the dispatch center visual situational awareness.

“Our collaboration with Everdrone to initiate implementation of this technology is a first for an air ambulance charity in the UK,” said Leigh Curtis MBE, Executive Director of Service Delivery at KSS. “The technology is already making a viable difference to patient outcomes in other countries, so this is an important step in our ambition to help save the lives of even more people in communities across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.”

“Everdrone is proud to be in collaboration with KSS to bring this new life-saving drone technology to the UK,” said Everdrone CEO Mats Sällström. “We are working together towards successful implementation with KSS, a team of world-leading Helicopter Emergency Medical Service pioneers and key opinion leaders within pre-hospital emergency care.”
