AUVSI Launches Special Events for Drone Safety Week

The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) is taking flight into the friendly skies of the second annual National Drone Safety Awareness Week.

Launched by the FAA, the special week is billed as “an opportunity for others to share their commitment to drone safety.” AUVSI officials reported they are partnering with the federal agency and the Know Before You Fly (KBYF) coalition. Each weekday, AUVSI will be hosting or co-hosting a menu of virtual events to complement the week’s official slate.

“It is an honor to once again work with the FAA and members of the KBYF coalition to promote NDSAW and be sure to tune in to as many events as possible throughout the week,” said AUVSI president and CEO Brian Wynne. “Let’s keep the safety conversation going past NDSAW!”
