By David H. Boulter, FAA Associate Administrator (A) for Aviation Safety | December 27, 2022

On December 15th, the FAA announced the new Executive Director of the UAS Integration Office, Jeffrey Vincent, who will be joining the AVS Management Team in January.

Jeffrey has extensive experience in working across the agency to integrate new entrants into the National Airspace System, and he will be an asset to AVS as we work with new applicants across multiple aviation sectors. In his current role as Vice President of Air Traffic Services, he is responsible for providing safe and efficient air navigation services to more than 42,000 flights and 2.5 million airline passengers across more than 29 million square miles of airspace. Prior to his current role, Jeffrey served as Vice President for Safety and Technical Training. In this role, he was responsible for the development of ATO’s Safety Management System and the integration of safety and training standards into the provision of air traffic services. Jeffrey was also the Director of Air Traffic Operations, Eastern Service Area providing strategic leadership and direction for ensuring the safety and efficiency of air traffic operations for Airport Traffic Control Towers, Terminal Radar Approach Control facilities, and Air Route Traffic Control Centers. I am excited about having such a strong leader join the AVS team.
