DARTdrones Public Safety Grant: Round 4!

Round Four of the DARTdrones Public Safety Grant is open for applications!  DARTdrones made history as one of the very first drone businesses to win big on the TV show for startups, Shark Tank.  Now, their business – providing quality, professional-level training for drone pilots – has proven to be a winner over and over.  DARTdrones now offers trainers in 28 U.S. cities across the country.

In this round of the DARTdrones Public Safety Grant,  the company will donate $100k worth of free drone training to public safety departments worldwide.  This is a program that directly addresses one of the top needs listed by public safety agencies in a recent DRONERESPONDERS survey: public safety agencies often lack the funding, time, and standard resources available to train and license personnel on unmanned vehicles.

From the DARTdrones announcement:

The DARTdrones Public Safety Grant offers free funding towards professional drone training for police, fire, and public safety departments interested in learning how to effectively utilize drones. DARTdrones is dedicated to increasing the number of lives saved using drones and the best way to achieve this goal is to help get more drones into the hands of public safety departments nationwide. The 2021 DARTdrones Public Safety Grant provides $100,000 in full or partial funding to departments for drone training courses such as Part 107 Test Prep Training, Basic Flight Training, Real World Flight Planning & Execution Program and private, on-site public safety drone training.

Round Four of the program will award $100,000 in training – and a drone, provided by partner Adorama.  But DARTdrones team has already awarded over $500,000 in drone training grant funds to over 237 police and fire departments. “During Round Four, our team will continue to aid departments across the country in getting the appropriate training to save more lives with drones,” says the announcement. “DARTdrones is working with other drone software and services companies to continue to expand the reach and offerings of this grant. This year, DARTdrones is partnering with Adorama to give one lucky department a free Mavic Air 2 Fly More Combo by DJI.”
