Vodafone UK said it has partnered with Skyports and Deloitte to transport medical supplies for NHS Scotland using drones. The drone flights will be live later in 2020 and will use Vodafone’s 4G network and Skyports’ space-based technology.

The newly announced project will support the NHS response to Covid-19, with the aim of preventing the spread of coronavirus. Before the end of the year, medical supplies including medicine, personal protective equipment and Covid-19 testing kits will be flown to hospitals and medical practices on remote Scottish Islands Argyll and Bute.
